The Spanish Association of Fair Marketing AIMFE and the Spanish Federation of Associations of Congress Organizers (OPC Spain) have reached a collaboration agreement of interest to their associates. An agreement that will serve to improve their joint activities and bring their products closer together in a more complete way. The agreement was signed in Madrid, in a meeting held between the president of OPC Spain, Ascensión Durán, and the president of AIMFE, Ignacio Cabanach. Both have highlighted the synergy between both entities and mutual collaboration, in addition to underlining the importance of this agreement to implement actions of interest to both parties.
Among them they Azerbaijan Email List highlighted the intention of preparing a manual of good practices in which the actions linked to a strict code of ethics and conduct are determined. Likewise, they have shown their interest in establishing an environmental code for the organization and assembly of events and have promised to fight against unfair competition and manage to eliminate a common practice in recent times of “exclusivity” to certain suppliers. The president of OPC Spain, Chon Durán, stated that “it is about joining forces and bringing together synergies between both entities.” Durán stressed that “the agreement reached is a form of collaboration to promote our meetings, our fairs and our congresses nationwide, in a professional way.” About OPC Spain The Spanish Federation of Professional Congress Organizing Companies -OPC Spain- is made up of the autonomous or regional associations of OPC companies that currently exist in the following Autonomous Communities:
Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, Canary Islands, Castilla La Mancha, Castilla León, Catalonia, Community Valenciana, Galicia, La Rioja, Madrid, Murcia, Navarra and the Basque Country. The Federation was founded in 1992 by 6 associations and throughout these years new associations have been created and federated up to a total of 14 associations. Through the associations, there are currently more than 300 federated companies, which makes OPC Spain the most representative business organization in the Spanish congress tourism sector. The main purposes of the Federation are to defend and promote the professional interests of the associates, promote the quality of the services provided by the companies and promote professional union in matters of common interest.
